  About The School  


Lithia Springs Elementary School is located two blocks south of U. S. Highway 78 on Florence Drive in Lithia Springs, Georgia. It is approximately two miles north of the intersection of Interstate 20 and Lee Road.

The building that houses Lithia Springs Elementary School opened as a junior high school in 1962 with an enrollment of 300 students. The first building renovation and additions occurred in 1977. In 1988, Lithia Springs Elementary began serving kindergarten through fifth grade. The gymnasium was added in 1992. During the summer of 2010, the school received a total renovation.  The building currently houses approximately 575 students.

The mission of Lithia Springs Elementary is to teach responsibility in an environment of respect and dignity. Our vision is to be a caring community school whose sincere, dedicated professionals provide every child, every day with a chance for success. We have P.R.I.D.E. - We are Positive. We are Respectful. We are Involved. We are Determined. We are Excellent!

The mission of the Douglas County School System is to work with all students to provide a quality education in a safe, supportive environment. Our vision is to build a community of lifelong learners that become responsible individuals, independent thinkers, and productive citizens. Through our system goals we commit to provide a challenging, comprehensive instructional, and curricular program for all learners; a school environment that is safe and supportive and enhances the learning process; and to improve communication throughout the school community.
